Lucas is approaching the sound in the same artistic manner as a painter on front of his masterpiece. This is one of the reasons why, while quoting his work, he often refers to rich and colourful images. In fact, this young, none less talented sound engineer is sensitive to the aesthetic of a song. He likes to safe guard the raw ambiance of a room extracting its most intricate essence. This protools genius particularly likes the mixture between acoustic sound and programming, always leaving space for experimentation. Consumed with American independent rock as well as the soul of the seventies, Lucas is most certainly a leading newcomer of French's sound engineering, He recently set up his own studio which is the best way for him to save some time and to associate and balance analog and digital, once again in a manner beyond transparency.

Technical information

In the “Studio de l'Atelier” in Paris today, computer tools is such a high standards if you had a selected peripherical configuration to that, you can get very good results. But you have to picture the full environnement : The Atelier values quality welcome, that comes with excellent accoustic performances and beautifull decoration. A place where artists can work using efficient update gear, at reasonnable prices, in the best possible conditions. Productions can be very well prepared, voices takes and overdubs can be recorded without any time pressure whatsoever. It's a professionnal studio designed to feel like you're at home.Lucas is now working in Jet Studios in Brussels, where he has his own studio. Being in charge of his own domain has allowed him to put the finishing touches to his rerecording, voice, guitar and mixing projects.



Having the luxury of this superb live recording studio within the Jet Studios building (1950's  design, all in wood) gives him a vast choice of live sound and, from the start, every benefit in sound quality.  (Jet Studios' live room is modelled on the plugin altiverb for curious ears!)



Lucas's studio is centred around the API 1608 console with it's phenomenal dynamic. This is surrounded by compressors, reverbs and Hardwear delays which allow him to find the right Analogue/Digital balance and take the best from each. The studio is also crammed with Synths and Beat Boxes for acoustic productions.
